Perfect Coffee Solution Hamilton Beach 49980A 2-Way Single Serve Brewer and Coffee Maker

After two failed Keurig machines, it was time for a change. My wife and I were looking for a programmable machine that could also fill the single cup requirement, and this fit perfectly. This Hamilton Beach 49980A machine has been far more useful than I ever imagined. I love that I can brew just a single serving, and the brew is quite hot and quick, eliminating the bitter aftertaste from over-extraction.

But the BEST feature - and quite unexpected - is this Hamilton Beach 49980A machine's ability to also brew loose-leaf tea in the reusable single-serve basket. I imagined that I would only be using this coffee maker occasionally, but with this feature I use it nearly every day on campus. I love non-caffinated herbal teas, and this machine does a pretty good job with them.

"What I like best about this Bonavita BV1800TH 8-Cup Coffee Maker is its overall simplicity and the design emphasis that was placed on brewing good coffee but not on loading the device with gadgets and non-essential features. I don't need a replaceable filter for the water. I don't need a built in coffee grinder.

The brew speed is fast, about 5 minutes for an 8-cup pot. I tested the temperature of the water at the brew head and it was 200 degrees. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for about 3 hours. This is actually an improvement over my old coffee maker, a plasticy monstrosity made by Black and Decker. The old coffee maker had a glass pot and burner to keep it warm. The Bonavita BV1800TH only uses electricity during the brew cycle and turns itself off automatically after 15 minutes."

This is without a doubt the best coffeemaker that I've ever owned. BUNN BT Velocity Brew 10-Cup has been about 5 months now, and I could not be more pleased. We make 4-5 pots of coffee per day five days a week. The last pot is brewed about noon and the left over coffee is still luke warm the next morning. The units last about 2 years so they are good for over 2,000 pots of coffee (less than 10 cents per pot). It makes a great pot of coffee.

Jura-Capresso 13548 Impressa J6 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center

Extensive research and $600 off the sticker price led me to the Jura-Capresso 13548 Impressa J6. I've now had the machine for two years and it is still going strong, and bought it at my local Sur le Table store. This was my first automatic machine and I am still totally freaked out at how expensive they are. That being said, the machine makes amazing coffee.

It's also really cool to make tea and hot soup with the hot water feature. The Jura-Capresso Impressa J6 refurbished machine is about $1,000, a significant savings. The only difference is that you get a 1-year guarantee from Jura. I recommend this option. The machine works well overall (knock on wood) and I expect to keep getting amazing coffee for years to come.

I purchase this Gaggia 1003380 Accademia Espresso Machine unit a couple of months ago after reading a number of reviews and watching u-Tube videos, etc. I will admit that it took a bit of motivation for me to spend 2K on an espresso machine. But this thing has entered my home and changed the way I enjoy morning coffee. I use to have coffee in the morning, now enjoy a cappuccino and my wife has her favor as well.

This is my 8th machine and by far my favorite. Having owned one Capresso C1500, three Jura-Capressos, one Saeco and now the Gaggia Academia, I've found this machine to outperform the rest by far. I loved the quality of the Capresso and Jura-Capresso machines, but having to send them in once a year for service at a cost of over $300 was excessive.

I love this Jura Impressa J9 One Touch TFT Coffee Machine. I also have a krupps super automatic as well and I prefer this one. The Impressa J9 is Jura's current top-of-the-line model and, at first glance, it looks the part. Gleaming silver body and chrome buttons and accents plus a color LCD screen make a positive first impression.

One complaint though is that the spout height is slightly low and so I cannot fit certain mugs in there. Not a deal breaker but it is an inconvenience. The thing I like about the jura is the ability to bypass the whole bean grinder and use preground coffee. Since with any super automatic, you need to be very careful about the oiliness of the bean, this is a great feature when you still want flavored coffee.

This Jura 13423 Impressa S9 One Touch Automatic Coffee-and-Espresso machine is beautifully engineered. The designers have thought of everything. It's very expensive but it's obvious as to why. The machine has many adjustments and the default factory settings may not get you what you expect. The machine warms up quickly and can be programmed to come on automatically, so it will be ready when you walk into the kitchen.

The best part is that it makes the best coffee available in the home...or anywhere else for that matter. I am really pleased that a video is included along with extensive written directions. Admittedly when I took it out of the box it was pretty intimidating. It took about a week before I was comfortable with all the features.

Only one month in operation - makes an excellent cup of coffee. I've cut way back on trips to Starbucks with this machine. KRUPS EA8255001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso Machine is easy to use and the coffee is fabulous every time. I wouldn't recommend if you like flavored beans, but if you purchase unflavored I would go for it.

I like the fact that the water tank has a filter, and the machine tells you when to replenish the water, clean, etc. Also, the volume of the 4 choices for coffee is adjustable, so by day 3 I had no problem producing some awesome cappuccinos in no time.

KRUPS EA8255001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso Machine is also easy to clean the milk frothing piece by running the steam for a few seconds. The machine remembers the last volume choice for the chosen coffee, and finally I figured out the volumes for milk as well.
