This is without a doubt the best coffeemaker that I've ever owned. BUNN BT Velocity Brew 10-Cup has been about 5 months now, and I could not be more pleased. We make 4-5 pots of coffee per day five days a week. The last pot is brewed about noon and the left over coffee is still luke warm the next morning. The units last about 2 years so they are good for over 2,000 pots of coffee (less than 10 cents per pot). It makes a great pot of coffee.

"The Bunn Carafe was recommended by my daughter who had replaced her original Bunn with this model.
There is no " hot plate" with a glass container. This heavily insulated carafe holds your coffee piping hot for hours without any worry of the brew becoming stronger or burned tasting from sitting on a warmer. At the end of a work day when I come home and clean the carafe out to get ready for the following morning, the coffee is still warm enough to enjoy. "

"We purchased this BUNN BT Velocity to replace an aging Mr. Coffee. I got speed. The coffee's flavor is excellent, but a little weaker than I like. I upped the amount of coffee to the recommended tbsp per cup (which would yield very bitter coffee on other machines I've had) and its back to where I like it. A darker roasted coffee would also add a lot of strength. I've had no real trouble about the carafe dripping.. this may be because the Mr. Coffee trained me to go slower to avoid such drips.

The coffee grinds do get pretty high on the filter, so I can imagine that getting off-brand filters would get you grinds in your coffee. Just buy the Bunn filters at your local megamart. Also, decaf and/or finely ground coffee does sometimes overflow the filter anyway. I've tried some premium coffees again, and am happy to report that they are worth it now. A good coffeemaker does make a difference in the quality of the coffee."
