Very pleased with the purchase of this Hamilton Beach 47950 12-Cup BrewStation Dispensing Drip Coffeemaker. Especially like the water dispenser on the side. Just lift off
and fill with water. Place coffee filter and coffee and you are all
set. Easy to prepare and makes delicious coffee. The dispenser button is easy to use, and you don't
have to press the button extra hard or at a weird angle for it to work.

I love this coffee maker. I love that the reservoir can be detached. The program options are awesome - bold, regular, and 1-4 cup settings. I love that you can also brew iced coffee, which turns out perfectly without tasting diluted. The drip tray doesn't fit in as snugly as my older model's.
Note: the drip tray is in two pieces and both can be removed for easy cleaning. The last con is that it tends to be noisier than my older model - sort of a hissing noise. It doesn't bother me but it is noticeable. I loved my previous HB Brewstation 47454 but it finally bit the dust after a couple of years of everyday use.
Because my favorite 47454 is no longer available, I got the somewhat similar Hamilton Beach Brewstation 47950. The footprint is larger on my counter because of the rather dubious side-mounted, removable water filling reservoir. After an initial cleaning, I ran a cycle of clear water (no coffee) and noticed that the machine made a boiling/bubbling noise, even after the brew cycle ended. It is a very hot plate!
It annoyingly bubbles as long as the machine is on, long after brewing. Here's an easy fix if you have the same noise problem...put a small drop of JB Weld epoxy near each corner of the heated coffee reservoir's underside metal plate.
When dry, this will raise the metal plate slightly off of the hot plate, eliminating the bubbling noise, while still warming the coffee. This Hamilton Beach 47950 12-Cup BrewStation Dispensing Drip Coffeemaker product earned 176 customer reviews and 78% are satisfied (as 26/02/2014).
