No drip. Well designed & love it the way it keeps hot coffee. Hamilton Beach 46201 12 Cup is the way to go with coffee maker. While this doesn't make perfect coffee if you're only doing 2-4 cups, if you do 6-8, you'll get a consistent cup of lovely coffee every time.

It seems that's a flaw with almost all drip coffee machines. I can take a cup before it's done brewing and it does not drip. We had a re-usable gold basket filter for our previous coffeemaker, and it is compatible with this machine.

It takes a bit getting used to all the different features compared to our old ones, but without a doubt it is the best thought out designed one we've owned. After the last one I tried, I greatly appreciate the thoughtfulness that must have gone into designing this one.

• Makes great tasting coffee under Bold setting.
• Brews in reasonable time, about 5-10 mins for the full pot of 12 cups (unlike Miletta that I tried, that took an hour to brew 10 cups)
• Convenient removable water tank, that makes filling and cleaning a snap.
• Filter section pops and swings open to the front with a simple press of a release button. No more lifting the lid!
• Filter section snaps close, to ensure secure closure. Never have an over flow accident!,
• Ventilation on top of the machine, prevents the steams from traveling across the control panel. This probably results in its longevity. Very smart indeed.
• Pours great, and never any spills from the carafe.
• Never seem to make any mess anywhere!!!
• Adjustable heat setting, but the highest setting never seem to burn the coffee.
• Automatic shut off works in reasonable time. Didn't even think this is a safety issue until I read some horror reviews on other machines.
• Great looking, and its square footprint makes it easy to neatly fit it on the counter top next to my microwave.

I highly recommend this Hamilton Beach 46201 12 Cup. This coffeemaker is wonderfully streamlined and deceptively simple to use. I love the removable water reservoir, a simple basket and cradle, the ability to reduce the "keep warm" temperature and the fact that the sneak-a-cup and pour spout features don't drip.

The chamber which holds the grounds snaps open and is convenient. The pot isn't as tall as my old pot and has a slightly smaller footprint. My old pot cost quite a bit more and still quit after less than a year. So far, I love, love, love this one.
