K.Stein"I bought this Cuisinart for our office so we were able to make coffee and oatmeal with the hot water. I like the coffee side, but on the hot water side, BE CAREFUL! I was burned by the steam that comes out of the lever you hold down to get the hot water to come out. Also, the hot water leaks out of the back where the screw hole is. What a mess. When I use the hot water, it doesn't come out like a pour, it sprays hot water all over."

Great coffee maker until it wasn't,

Then the coffee side of the machine died in mid-brew for no apparent reason. We used it to make a full pot every morning and most nights seven days a week. If you consume lots of coffee at home this might not be the best machine to buy. For the record, we normally get about a year out of a coffee machine before we have to replace it."

That was a killer sale for them, but you can generally use a 20% coupon
at most stores like bed bath beyond, kohls, macys, etc. I love how it looks, I love that you can shut the water heater off until
you need it, and then it heats up quickly. Coffee pot works great. I

- Hot water dispenser heats water to 185 degrees. This is perfect for anything you might want to use it for.
- The coffee maker side heats the water to about 200 degrees. This is GREAT for making a really good cup of coffee.
- The coffee temperature allows the coffee too stay warm even after I add half & half.
- The lid on the carafe is NOT hinged which means that it doesn't flop around when you're pouring and it doesn't have a flimsy hinge to break.
- The hot water dispenser side is HUGE, much larger than it looks in the pictures. That is why I've uploaded some pictures with mugs sitting on it and my tape measure showing the actual size. It fits both very wide and very tall mugs.
- The auto-off setting is adjustable from 1-4 hours. This is great for my mom who likes to brew a pot and drink it all morning.
- The indicator lights on the hot water side that let you know when the water is ready and when you need to add water are great.
