"I bought this Cuisinart for our office so we were able to make coffee and oatmeal with the hot water. I like the coffee side, but on the hot water side, BE CAREFUL! I was burned by the steam that comes out of the lever you hold down to get the hot water to come out. Also, the hot water leaks out of the back where the screw hole is. What a mess. When I use the hot water, it doesn't come out like a pour, it sprays hot water all over."

Do you drink alot of coffee? If yes then dont get this. Get the six-cup Black & Decker DCM18S coffee maker. This is for people who drinks 1-2-3 cups a DAY. If you drink more than that it might frustrate you to constantly fill the compartment every now and then. But if you're patient enough to wait for less than a minute, then get it.

This is an excellent one cup coffee maker. It takes a little experimenting to determine how much coffee to use for desired strength. I use one a 1/8 heaping coffee scoop. The travel cup actually does fit into my vans cup holder.  Get special price of Black & Decker DCM18S Personal Coffeemaker.

• Makes one great cup in about 3 minutes.
• Shuts itself off once cup is brewed.
• Takes up very little space (could travel with this!)

• Only clean-up is the filter - just rinse it out.

 My only complaint would be that the plastic-coated inside of the travel mug is scratched up from using spoons to stir in sugar. Dont expect like those heavy-weight and dramatic coffee makers. This belongs to a whole new genre. Definitely not your poshy restaurant/hotel coffee maker. Its just a simple plastic toy-like coffee maker that works.

The coffee is hot right after it is brewed, but it does not have a heating system, so will start to cool immediately, which is not a problem. Shop for the Black & Decker Coffee Maker DCM18S that is available at an every day discount.

Overall, a good value for a rapid, portable mug of joe. This Black & Decker DCM18S is by far the best coffeemaker for the price. The fact that there is no pot and the coffee goes straight into the travel mug saves time in the morning. For those who are coffee junkies, this will save you hundreds of dollars over buying your morning coffee fix from Starbucks, Beaners or Second Cup.
